Shumiist comes from the Japanese word "shumi" which is defined as a hobby. The name shumiist therefore signifies a person who pursues his/her hobby, which resonates with the purpose of this blog. Being Indonesian and living in Canada, my dual cultural upbringing has sparked in me the interest in various types of food, fashion, and, culture from the East and the West. Sharing recipes and lookbooks, reviewing restaurants and clothes, and taking unique pictures are some of my greatest hobbies. This blog serves as an outlet to showcase some of the work I did to pursue my "shumi".
